Hello Patient builds AI agents that handle patient conversations across voice, text, and web chat, from scheduling to billing. Confido Health presents itself as a broader healthcare operations platform. This comparison looks at channels, workflows, customer results, and pricing.
When you're comparing AI platforms for patient access, four practical questions matter most: where patients can reach the agent, what the agent can actually complete in your systems, what results the vendor can show, and how the pricing works at your volume.
On the surface, Hello Patient and Confido overlap in several areas. Both describe inbound and outbound patient communication, scheduling workflows, and automation across multiple channels. The differences become clearer when you look at how each platform is positioned, which workflows it emphasizes, and the evidence it publishes.
Transparency note: Information about Confido Health comes from its public website as of September 10, 2026. Vendor capabilities can change, and published claims don't always show how a workflow performs in your environment. We recommend asking both vendors to complete the same real-world workflows during a demo.
What Hello Patient handles
Hello Patient builds 24/7 AI agents for healthcare groups, running inbound and outbound across voice, text, and web chat.
For supported workflows configured for your practice, our agents can handle the request and complete the next step in the same conversation. Key capabilities include:
- Call coverage: The agent answers instantly, handles common patient questions, books or reschedules appointments, and routes refill requests to the clinical team.
- Outbound outreach: The agent can proactively call or text patients for referrals, recalls, appointment follow-ups, rescheduling, and payment-related outreach.
- Billing calls: For supported billing workflows, the agent can answer billing questions, explain balances, and send secure payment links.
- Scheduling: With supported integrations, booked appointments can be written directly into your practice-management or EHR schedule.
Hello Patient is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type II certified, and signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client.
What Confido Health handles
Confido is a voice-first healthcare platform offering inbound and outbound calling, SMS, email, and webchat automation. 3 4
It works through existing phone systems without requiring a number change, with published workflows including referral booking, pre-visit intake, patient recall, no-show recovery, and payment collection during calls. 5 6 7 8 10
For medication refills, Confido says its agent records the request in the chart for clinical team approval rather than prescribing directly. 9
Confido also describes bi-directional EHR write-back, scheduling updates, automated eligibility, and prior authorization. 11 12
Pricing is custom-scoped, and its published deployment timelines range from 30 days to six weeks. 13 14
Each vendors channel coverage
With Hello Patient, patients can call, text, or open chat on your website. For supported workflows configured on that channel, the agent can complete the request there.
Confido describes itself as voice-first, with transfer to staff when a case needs a person. 3 Its published materials also list email, text, and webchat alongside voice, with inbound and outbound coverage. 4 16
Confido also describes specific cross-channel workflows, including calls and texts for recall, SMS confirmations following phone payments, and two-way health-information exchange by text. 6 10 17
The important distinction isn't whether a vendor lists voice, text, or webchat. It's what the agent can actually complete on each channel.
With Hello Patient, text is a standalone patient channel with workflows that can include:
- Patient reaches out: A patient texts the practice, asks whether you accept their insurance plan, and can book an appointment in the same conversation.
- Agent reaches out: The agent contacts a patient about a recall, referral, overdue balance, or visit that needs rescheduling and can continue the conversation when they reply.
- Website visitor: A patient opens web chat with a question and can get an answer or book without having to switch to a phone call.
Available workflows depend on the configuration and integrations used by your practice.
Don't rely on channel labels alone. Ask both vendors to demonstrate the same real workflow, on the channels that matter to you, using the systems your practice already runs.
The fastest test? Call a live agent and hear how it handles the conversation yourself.
Whose results can you check by name?
Both vendors publish named customer evidence, but the scope and level of detail differ. Confido's Dallas Renal Group testimonial reports about 20,000 weekly calls across 51 locations and 40% automatic handling. The quotation does not specify the measurement period or define automatic handling as resolution without staff. A separate block on the page gives first-quarter and 90-day results for an unnamed 51-location renal practice. It does not explicitly identify Dallas Renal, and its period does not establish the period for the 40% claim. 1 Ask them over what period the 40% was measured.
Confido names other customers too. On its revenue-cycle product pages, a testimonial attributed to Alpha Dental's senior operations manager reports a 56% reduction in missed calls. 11
Its case study of a 19-practice dental group carries a role-only testimonial. Confido's customers page names Alpha Dental and Maria Felipe, Senior Operations Manager, and links that card directly to the dental case study. The customer is identifiable across the two pages, although the case itself does not name the organization or person. 18
Ours are named practices on pages anyone can open. Pulse MD, a multi-location urgent care provider in New York, went from 26% missed calls to zero in the first month. About 3 in 10 of its calls were resolved by the agent with nobody at the desk touching them. Piedmont Urgent Care, 88 locations in Georgia, put an agent on its patient billing line. Carbon Health ran our agent after hours across 81 clinics, and about 4 in 10 of the patients who got a texted booking link went on to schedule. Ortho1 Medical Group booked 190 referral visits in two months without adding a person. These are results from those deployments, not promises for every practice.
What about the billing line?
Hello Patient supports billing-line workflows, including explaining balances, answering common billing questions, and sending secure payment links. Piedmont Urgent Care is our strongest named example: its 88-location Georgia network deployed an agent on a billing line handling more than 20,000 calls a month. Piedmont Urgent Care
Confido describes taking payment during a call and sending an SMS confirmation with an authorization code. 10 It also reports broader revenue-cycle results, including 3x growth in monthly collections and 30% fewer initial denials through prior-authorization submissions. Its $40,000+ monthly recovered-revenue claim relates to reactivation campaigns in dental and eye care. 19
In the revenue-cycle pages we reviewed, we did not find a named customer result tied specifically to a billing-line deployment. Review date: September 10, 2026. 10 11
If billing is the workflow you're evaluating, ask both vendors to show a live billing interaction and provide a named result from a comparable deployment.
Which one is the better fit for your practice?
Choose us if clear pricing and reliable coverage matter to your evaluation.
Our agents automate voice, text, and web chat—inbound and outbound—and resolve supported requests end-to-end. If human intervention is needed, calls route based on your custom rules, delivering a detailed summary straight to your team. Because coverage runs directly on configured lines, service quality never depends on who is at the desk that morning.
We offer usage-based pricing billed strictly per minute of voice and per text conversation, so costs always scale directly with your actual volume.
What should you ask both vendors to show?
o evaluate any front-office AI vendor—us included—test these four steps on your own systems and rules instead of a scripted demo:
- Test Text & Web Chat First: Message the practice via SMS, then website chat. See if the agent can answer questions and complete the booking in-thread without a call.
- Verify a Live, Comparable Reference: Ask for a practice your size running your exact use case. Review their published numbers to see what percentage of interactions finish unassisted.
- Run a Real Request End-to-End: Have the vendor book a routine visit live using your actual provider, location, and scheduling rules. Check your EHR to verify the appointment, record, and notes.
- Ask What It Can’t Finish: Find out how handoffs work when the agent reaches its limit. Do edge cases route to live staff immediately, or drop into a queue for later?
Find out whether we fit your group
Call a live agent to hear how a patient conversation sounds. To discuss the conversations your team handles today, book a call and ask for a free custom demo agent for your practice. We will show you which supported workflows we can configure for your group, including how a booked visit lands on your schedule through a supported integration.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Confido Health alternative for healthcare?
It depends on what you are replacing. Hello Patient builds AI agents for patient conversations on voice, text and web chat. Voice and text run in both directions. With a supported integration and configured workflow, the agent can book the visit into the schedule your team runs. It is an alternative to evaluate if you want agents handling supported requests across those channels. At Pulse MD, a multi-location urgent care provider in New York, missed calls went from 26% to zero in the first month. Hello Patient is HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and signs a Business Associate Agreement with every client.
How do Confido Health and Hello Patient compare?
Both describe inbound and outbound voice agents. Hello Patient also handles inbound and outbound text, plus website chat. Confido describes voice-first coverage plus email, text and webchat, with inbound and outbound workflows. Confido also claims completion and EHR write-back; Hello Patient can complete supported workflows and write bookings through configured integrations. Test the workflows you need with both vendors. Confido publishes named nephrology evidence from Dallas Renal Group. Hello Patient publishes a named billing deployment at Piedmont Urgent Care, where hold time went to zero on a line handling more than 20,000 calls a month. These are results from specific deployments.
Can a patient start a text or web chat conversation with Hello Patient instead of calling?
Yes. With Hello Patient, text and web chat are patient channels in their own right. For supported workflows configured for your practice, a patient can text without calling first, ask whether you take their plan or what a visit involves, and book a time in that same text thread. On your website, the chat agent can answer the same kinds of questions and book inside the chat when the workflow and integration support it. Requests outside that scope go to your team under the rules you set. Hello Patient also runs outbound text for recall, referrals and follow-up.
How does Hello Patient keep phone coverage consistent across a multi-location group?
Hello Patient can provide 24/7 agent coverage across configured lines, so it does not depend on who is at which desk that morning. For supported workflows, the agent follows your location and scheduling rules and can book into the connected schedule. Carbon Health ran our agent after hours across 81 clinics, and Piedmont Urgent Care runs one on the centralized billing line serving its 88-location Georgia network. Hello Patient runs agents at multi-location scale today, and when a call goes to a human under the rules you set, your team gets a message with the details.
How can you check what an AI phone vendor's results really show?
Look for a name and a denominator. Ask which practice the number came from, how many locations it covers, over what period, and what the percentage is a percentage of. Hello Patient publishes its results with the practice named. A share of calls "handled automatically" and a share of calls "resolved without staff" are different claims. Routing or triage still ends with a human. A study that does not name the practice is harder to check; look for a linked customer page or ask the vendor to identify it. You can open the Hello Patient pages for Pulse MD, Piedmont Urgent Care, Carbon Health and Ortho1 Medical Group and check the numbers yourself.
Can a practice switch from Confido Health to Hello Patient?
A switch depends on whether Hello Patient supports the workflows and integrations your practice needs. The useful thing to do first is test the agent on your own rules rather than a demo script. Hello Patient builds AI agents that work on voice, text and web chat, can book into supported practice management and EHR systems when the workflow is configured, and hand a call to a human under the rules you set. Piedmont Urgent Care's billing agent was live in 40 days. Hello Patient bills by usage, per minute of voice and per text conversation, so what you pay tracks your real volume.

Sources for Confido Health information
The Confido Health claims cited here come from its own public pages, reviewed on September 10, 2026. This was a targeted review of the cited material, not a site-wide audit or independent verification of capabilities or outcomes. We publish this comparison as one of the two vendors in it.
1 :AI Voice Assistant for Nephrology Practices | Confido Health. Confido publishes the Dallas Renal quotation above under Srinivas Danda's name and COO role. The employer appears in customer imagery; the webinar and customers page corroborate the attribution. The customers page and homepage use different testimonial wording. Separately, the nephrology page reports first-quarter and 90-day results for an unnamed 51-location renal practice; it does not explicitly identify that practice as Dallas Renal or establish the 40% measurement period. The 60–90-day ROI statement appears in a security/implementation tile, not the current FAQ.
2: Inside Dallas Renal Groups AI Rollout. Identifies Srinivas Danda as Dallas Renal Group's COO with responsibility for 51 clinic locations.
3: Confido Health vs Hyro AI: What Healthcare Leaders Should Know Before They Choose; Luma Health Alternative: Confido Health vs Luma Health; NexHealth Alternative: How Confido Health Compares. Confido-authored comparison posts describing its healthcare-operations positioning and voice-first coverage. The Hyro post also claims task completion and transfer to staff; its voice emphasis does not establish that web chat is unavailable.
4: Luma Health Alternative: Confido Health vs Luma Health. The channel table lists voice first alongside email, text and webchat, with inbound and outbound coverage and staff transfer. This grouped wording is not proof of every direction on every channel.
5: AI Front Desk for Healthcare Practices. The patient-contact step includes phone, text and web. The next step describes existing phone lines and IVR without number changes. Both statements occur in the same diagram.
6: AI Patient Recall & Outreach for Healthcare; Patient Recall & Reactivation. Describes calls and texts for recall, annual visits, screenings and follow-ups, plus reactivation, no-show recovery and return-visit booking.
7: Referral Management. Describes referral capture from fax, phone or direct intake, outreach to book patients and follow-up to complete the referral workflow. These are Confido's capability claims.
8: AI Workflows for Healthcare Operations. The intake workflow covers new-patient registration, insurance details and the reason for the visit before the appointment.
9: AI Prescription Refill Requests; Prescription Refills. Describes recording refill requests in the chart for provider approval. The refill product FAQ excludes medication approval, prescribing, dispensing, sale and fulfillment from the agent's role; this is not a claim that identical disclaimer wording appears on every page.
10: AI Patient Payment Collections. Describes payment during calls with an SMS confirmation and authorization code. Included in the September 10, 2026, seven-page revenue evidence review; its customer testimonials concern calls and access, while recovered-revenue figures appear separately.
11: RCM AI; Insurance Eligibility & Verification; Prior Authorization; Denial Management; Payer Intelligence & Contracts; Fax Processing. Describes revenue-cycle, eligibility, prior-authorization, denial-management, payer-intelligence and fax-processing functions. The named or organization-attributed testimonials reviewed concern call handling. The 56% missed-call reduction is attributed to Alpha Dental's senior operations manager, not directly to Maria Felipe by name. Together with the payment-collections page in source 10, these are the seven pages behind the dated billing-line finding. Separate recovered-revenue claims do not expressly identify a named customer's billing-line outcome; the finding is not a site-wide absence claim.
12: EHR, PMS & Phone System Integrations. Claims bidirectional EHR, practice-management and phone-system connections, including updates to schedules and charts during calls. The published catalog does not establish equal workflow support in every installation.
13: EHR, PMS & Phone System Integrations; Confido Health | AI Assistants For Healthcare; Confido Health Vs Arini; Confido Health Vs Luma AI. The integrations page gives four to six weeks; the homepage gives under 30 days; the Arini and Luma comparison pages give 30-day formulations, qualified in their deployment FAQs. All were reviewed on September 10, 2026. These are published timelines, not a guaranteed schedule for a particular project.
14: Confido Health Vs Assort Health; Confido Health Vs Luma AI; Confido Health Vs Talkie AI; Confido Health Vs Voicify; Confido Health Vs Healow Genie. The cost FAQs describe pricing scoped to the operation and a group-specific quote. Reviewed September 10, 2026; no commercial terms were obtained.
15: RCM AI; Conversational AI for Healthcare Draft; Healthcare AI Receptionist; Confido Health Vs Hyro AI; Confido Health Vs Elise AI. On September 10, 2026, RCM AI claimed HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 Type II certification. The other listed pages still described Type I as complete and Type II as underway. No current SOC report was obtained, so the review does not resolve the actual audit status or service coverage.
16: 5 Best AI Receptionists for Healthcare: A Complete Buyer’s Guide for Enterprise Healthcare Providers. In Confido's own vendor entry, the channel description includes voice, texting and email interactions and consistent workflow execution across patient channel preferences.
17: Consent. Covers patient health-information exchange and responses through SMS, consent for SMS/email/phone transmission in both directions, and opt-in by text reply. It is not a demonstration of an autonomous booking workflow.
18: Dental Practice; Confido Health Customer Stories. The dental study covers 19 practices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and attributes its testimonial only to an operating-manager role and a multi-location dental group. The customers page names Alpha Dental and Maria Felipe, Senior Operations Manager, and links their card directly to the study. Her named testimonial uses different wording. The case's revenue framing concerns missed calls, scheduling and retention, not a demonstrated patient-billing collections result.
19: Why Patients Can't Get Through: The Patient Access Crisis in Healthcare; AI Workflows for Healthcare Operations. The article reports 3x monthly collections growth after AI implementation and separately describes collection-rate improvements. Its 30% fewer initial denials concerns prior-authorization submissions. Its $40,000 or more per month concerns reactivation campaigns in dental and eye care, not billing collections or a single named customer. These are vendor self-reports, without independently reviewed measurement data.
