A patient calls to book a same-day visit while the front desk is checking someone in and two other lines are ringing. The call goes to voicemail. By the time someone calls back, the patient has booked somewhere else.
Booking visits is only part of the front desk's job. Patients also call and text about insurance, refills, referrals, forms, results, and bills. At the same time, the practice has its own work to do, including reminders, recall, follow-up after a visit, and balances that are getting old.
Hello Patient and Solv both use AI to help healthcare practices manage patient conversations, and both are built for healthcare. They differ in where their products are centered. Solv combines a consumer booking marketplace with an AI-first provider platform built for on-demand care. The provider platform includes scheduling, intake, eligibility, payments, messaging, voice and chat agents, reviews, and EHR integration.[1] Hello Patient focuses on conversational AI agents across voice, text, and web chat, inbound and outbound, that handle patient conversations from scheduling and follow-up through billing, and book the result into the EHR the practice already uses.
We build one of these products, so this isn't a neutral comparison. We based it on each company's published product information and customer results, because those are the easiest things for buyers to verify. Solv's clearest published strengths are its consumer marketplace, its AI-first platform for on-demand care, and ClearPay's eligibility and cost estimation. Hello Patient's clearest published proof is in missed-call coverage, conversational outbound outreach, and live medical billing-line resolution.
How we compared them
We compared each company using the same criteria: product capabilities, integrations, compliance, pricing, and published customer results. Solv information was last checked on July 26, 2026, using Solv's own website and its April 2026 launch release.
Hello Patient publishes this comparison, so the Solv facts that matter most point to the original sources. Throughout this guide, we distinguish between capabilities a company lists, capabilities it demonstrates, and results it supports with named customer case studies. Those are different levels of evidence.
Compliance information is limited to what each company states publicly. If something is not listed here, that does not necessarily mean the company does not provide it. We recommend confirming compliance documentation, integrations, and workflow support during your evaluation.
What Hello Patient does
Patients call to book or reschedule appointments, ask about insurance, request refills, and pay bills. At the same time, the front desk has patients to contact for recall, follow-up, reminders, and billing. Hello Patient's AI agents handle both inbound and outbound patient conversations. The work falls into three areas.
Answer every call. When staff are helping patients, the calls that used to ring out get answered. The agents book visits, handle routine refill requests, answer insurance questions, and route clinical conversations to the practice team.
Bring patients back. The agents contact patients for annual visits, overdue screenings, referrals, and follow-up after a visit. They answer the questions patients ask before rebooking and schedule the appointment during the same conversation. Across customers, recall and follow-up campaigns help practices book around 20% more appointments without adding staff.
Handle the billing line. When patients call with questions about a charge or balance, the agent explains the bill, answers questions about what insurance covered, and texts a secure payment link during the conversation. The patient avoids the hold, and the front desk doesn't have to return the call later.
Every appointment the agents book is written directly into the EHR the practice already uses, including ModMed, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Veradigm. Reschedules and cancellations are synchronized the same way, so staff continue working from the same schedule.
Hello Patient's published customer evidence spans several workflows. At Pulse MD, a multi-location urgent care group, missed calls fell from 26% to zero during the first month, the agents resolved 30% of calls without staff involvement, and the front desk regained 208 hours. At Carbon Health, the agents answer after-hours calls across 81 clinics, and 40% of patients who receive a booking link by text go on to schedule an appointment. At Piedmont Urgent Care, the billing agent handles more than 20,000 billing calls each month and resolves nearly half without staff involvement. Hello Patient is HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and signs a BAA with every client.

What Solv does
Solv combines a consumer booking marketplace with an AI-first provider platform built for on-demand care. Patients use the Solv app and website to find nearby same-day and urgent care, book appointments, and complete parts of the visit before they arrive. Solv says it has powered more than 100 million healthcare visits. In its April 2026 launch release, the company reported 115 million appointments booked, 30 million insurance cards processed, and described the provider platform as an AI-first operating system for on-demand care.[1]
The provider platform includes scheduling, intake, eligibility, payments, messaging, reviews, EHR integration, and AI agents across voice and website chat.[1][2] Maya answers the phone around the clock, books appointments, answers common questions, and handles billing and insurance conversations such as balance lookups and payments. Nina handles website chat and appointment booking. Andre manages pre-visit intake, sends reminders, and follows up when patient information is missing. The platform also includes automated reminders, post-visit messaging, broadcast campaigns, two-tap rebooking, and InboxAI, which sorts and routes incoming patient messages for staff. ClearPay AI reads insurance cards, identifies the patient's plan, checks eligibility, and estimates patient responsibility before check-in.[2]
Solv also publishes named customer results across several workflows.
- Voice AI: Solv reports that Maya has processed nearly 650,000 calls. Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care says the agent books more than 1,000 visits each month and saves staff more than 380 hours per month.[1]
- Eligibility and collections: At Marque Urgent Care, Solv reports reducing claims requiring manual re-verification from 80% to 20%, returning real-time eligibility for 94% of visits through ClearPay, and collecting $1.1 million in copays at the time of service.[3]
- Online booking: Renown Health generated $7.13 million in online booking revenue during its first five months with Solv, while patients who booked online spent about 58% less time waiting than walk-in patients. MultiCare reports $9.3 million in online booking revenue during its first four months with Solv.[3]
How does Solv handle outbound outreach?
Solv supports automated and broadcast text campaigns, appointment reminders, post-visit messages, and two-tap rebooking. Its intake agent, Andre, also sends reminders when patient information is missing.[2]
The distinction is what happens after a patient responds. Based on the public materials reviewed for this article, we did not find a conversational outbound voice or text agent that starts recall, referral, or overdue-balance outreach and then continues the conversation through booking or payment. If that workflow is important to your practice, ask Solv to demonstrate it during your evaluation.
Hello Patient's agents initiate recall, referral follow-up, and balance outreach by phone or text, continue the conversation when the patient responds, and complete the booking or route the conversation when needed. Across customers, recall and follow-up campaigns help practices book around 20% more appointments without adding staff.
How does Solv connect to your EHR?
Solv says patient demographics and appointment details automatically transfer into the EHR, and that patient status and schedules synchronize bidirectionally. Its integrations page reports more than 15 million bookings transferred into EHRs, and its April 2026 launch release says its connections span more than 150 EHRs, using APIs and secure robotic process automation to connect its AI agents to existing systems.[4][1]
The useful question isn't whether Solv writes into the EHR. It's what each integration writes, which booking channels it covers, how cancellations and reschedules synchronize, and whether the exact EHR and configuration your practice uses are supported.
Hello Patient writes appointments from voice, text, and web chat directly into the EHR the practice already uses, and synchronizes cancellations and reschedules the same way. For either platform, confirm the exact scope of the integration for your EHR before making a decision.
Which is better for urgent care?
Both Hello Patient and Solv serve urgent care, but they help practices book more appointments in different ways.
Solv leads with same-day and urgent care. Its consumer marketplace helps patients find nearby care, while its provider platform includes AI voice and website chat agents, digital intake, messaging, and ClearPay for eligibility verification and patient cost estimates. Solv also publishes strong customer results across booking, phone volume, and front-end operations. Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care reports that Maya books more than 1,000 visits each month while saving more than 380 staff hours. Marque Urgent Care reports significantly reducing manual eligibility verification while collecting more payments at the time of service. Renown Health and MultiCare both publish results tied to online booking growth.
Hello Patient helps urgent care groups capture more of the patient demand they already have. Instead of letting conversations end in voicemail, unanswered texts, or callback lists, the agents answer every call, continue the conversation, and finish the work by booking the appointment, working recall and referral outreach, or resolving billing questions. At Pulse MD, missed calls fell from 26% to zero during the first month, while the front desk regained 208 hours. Carbon Health uses Hello Patient across 81 urgent care and primary care clinics for after-hours coverage. On the billing line at Piedmont Urgent Care, the agent handles more than 20,000 billing calls each month and resolves nearly half without staff involvement.
The best choice depends on where your practice is losing patients today. If your priority is attracting more same-day demand and streamlining intake, eligibility, and front-door operations, Solv has compelling published capabilities and customer results. If your priority is making sure more of the patients already trying to reach your practice actually end in a booked appointment or completed conversation, that's where Hello Patient has built its platform and where its strongest published customer evidence sits.
If you run an urgent care, the best comparison is your own workflow. Look at where appointments are being lost today, then ask each vendor to show exactly how their platform handles those conversations on your EHR.

Questions to take into each demo
A demo usually shows a call going well. It may not show what happens when the agent cannot finish a request, or what happens to conversations that do not start as a call. Ask these questions in both demos.
- Can patients start a conversation by voice, text, and web chat?
- Which patient requests can the AI complete without staff involvement, and which always go back to our team?
- What happens when the AI can't complete a request? How is the conversation handed off?
- Which scheduling actions are written directly into our EHR? Do new appointments, cancellations, and reschedules all sync automatically?
- Can the platform initiate recall, referral, or overdue-balance outreach and continue the conversation through booking or payment, or do patient replies become another queue for staff?
- How are automated calls and conversations counted for billing?
- Can you show us published customer results that match our specialty, practice size, or workflow?
- Can we speak with a customer that uses our EHR?
What to check if you are considering Solv
Solv has real strengths, and it will be the right choice for some healthcare organizations. Its consumer marketplace brings new patients to participating practices, its on-demand scheduling and intake streamline front-door operations, and ClearPay provides real-time eligibility verification and patient cost estimates before check-in.[1][2] It also publishes strong customer results, including Marque Urgent Care's eligibility and collections improvements and online booking growth at Renown Health and MultiCare.[3]
If you're evaluating Solv, confirm how those capabilities work in your environment.
For your EHR
Its public materials state that appointment details are written into supported EHRs and that schedules synchronize bidirectionally. The question is the scope of the integration, not whether one exists.
Ask:
- Does our EHR support bookings created by Maya and Nina?
- Do new appointments, reschedules, cancellations, patient creation, notes, and status changes all synchronize?
- Does our integration use APIs, HL7, FHIR, or robotic process automation?
- Which workflows are fully bidirectional, and which still require staff to work in the Solv dashboard?
For outbound outreach
If recall, referral follow-up, or billing outreach are important workflows, ask Solv to demonstrate them.
Specifically:
- Can an AI agent initiate recall, referral, or overdue-balance outreach?
- Can it continue a free-text conversation through booking or payment?
- Or do patient replies become another queue for staff?
For compliance
As of July 26, 2026, Solv's public pages stated that the platform is HIPAA-compliant. We did not find a public statement confirming SOC 2 certification or describing its Business Associate Agreement (BAA). That does not mean Solv lacks either one. Ask for the current SOC 2 report and BAA during your security review. Any vendor that creates, receives, maintains, or transmits protected health information (PHI) on your behalf should be willing to provide a signed BAA before go-live.
When Hello Patient is the right fit
Choose Hello Patient when your biggest challenge isn't generating patient demand, it's making sure the patients already trying to reach your practice actually get an outcome.
Patients call, text, and message your website for many reasons: to book or reschedule appointments, ask about insurance, request refills, follow up after a visit, or pay a bill. At the same time, your staff is trying to work recall lists, referrals, and other outbound outreach. Hello Patient's AI agents handle those conversations across voice, text, and web chat, inbound and outbound, so more of them end in a booked appointment, a completed payment, or the right handoff to your team.
The agents answer every call, continue conversations after hours, work recall and referral outreach, and handle billing conversations around the clock. Across customers, recall and follow-up campaigns help practices book around 20% more appointments without adding staff. Customer case studies also show up to 60% of calls resolved without staff involvement, from scheduling and intake through billing and collections. Every appointment the agents book is written directly into the EHR your practice already uses.
The two platforms can also complement each other. A practice could use a marketplace to attract new-patient demand and Hello Patient to make sure those patients, along with existing ones, don't get lost in voicemail, callback lists, recall queues, or billing conversations. If you're considering both, evaluate where their workflows overlap before paying for both..

Frequently asked questions
How is Hello Patient different from Solv?
Both run AI agents that talk to patients, and both are built for healthcare, so the difference is product model and proof. Solv pairs a consumer booking marketplace with an AI-first provider platform for on-demand care, covering scheduling, intake, eligibility, payments, messaging, and voice and website-chat agents, with EHR integration underneath. Hello Patient focuses on conversational agents across voice, text, and web chat, inbound and outbound. Its agents also start recall, referral, and billing outreach and handle the replies, and it books the result into the EHR the practice runs, including ModMed, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Veradigm.
How does Solv handle outbound outreach?
Solv offers automated and broadcast text campaigns, post-visit messages, reminders, and two-tap rebooking, and its intake agent, Andre, can send reminders when patient information is missing. What we did not find on the public pages reviewed for this article was a conversational outbound voice or text agent that starts recall, referral, or overdue-balance outreach and then handles the patient's replies through booking or payment. Hello Patient's agents do that. They initiate the outreach by phone or text, answer when the patient responds, and book or route the result. Across customers, recall and follow-up campaigns help practices book around 20% more appointments without adding staff.
Does Solv work with our EHR?
Solv says appointment details and patient information automatically transfer into supported EHRs, schedules synchronize bidirectionally, and more than 15 million bookings have been transferred. Its April 2026 release says its connections span more than 150 EHRs. Confirm the exact integration with your own EHR, including new bookings, reschedules, cancellations, patient creation, notes, and status updates. Hello Patient also books directly into the EHR the practice runs, including ModMed, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Veradigm, and syncs cancellations and reschedules the same way, so compare the write scope of each against your own system.
Does Solv do automated insurance eligibility, and does Hello Patient?
Solv does, and Hello Patient does not market an automated eligibility engine. Solv's ClearPay AI reads the insurance card, identifies the plan, checks eligibility, and calculates the patient's estimated responsibility before check-in. Hello Patient's agents handle the conversation side of insurance instead. They answer the questions patients ask on the phone, explain what a charge was for and what insurance already covered, and text a secure payment link. If a ClearPay-style eligibility engine is what the practice needs, Solv markets it directly and Hello Patient does not.
Is Solv SOC 2 certified, and does it sign a BAA?
As of July 26, 2026, Solv's public pages displayed HIPAA compliance, but we did not find a public SOC 2 certification statement or a public statement about its BAA. That does not mean Solv lacks either one, so ask for the current documentation during your security review. Hello Patient is HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and signs a BAA with every client. A vendor that creates, receives, maintains, or transmits patient health information generally needs a signed BAA before go-live.
Can a practice switch from Solv to Hello Patient?
A practice can add Hello Patient alongside Solv or replace specific Solv workflows, but whether a complete switch makes sense depends on which Solv products it uses. Hello Patient does not replace Solv's consumer marketplace or a ClearPay-style eligibility engine. It can replace or add coverage for calls, texts, website chat, conversational outbound outreach, and the billing line. Map the current Solv products first, then decide which should stay.
