We're excited to announce that Peter Taylor has joined Hello Patient as a Staff Software Engineer. Peter brings nearly two decades of software engineering leadership and a track record of building scalable systems through hypergrowth—from early-stage startup to acquisition and beyond.
From early days to acquisition and integration
Pete's most impressive tenure was at SchoolAdmin, where he joined in the early days as Lead Developer and spent over 10 years helping scale the company from inception through its acquisition by Finalsite. But he didn't stop there—he continued leading engineering efforts through the integration, spending 13+ total years building and scaling the company as it grew into a leading school management platform.
That kind of sustained technical leadership—guiding architecture and engineering decisions from startup through hypergrowth, acquisition, and integration—demonstrates both exceptional technical skill and the ability to evolve systems as business needs change.
Before SchoolAdmin, Pete spent over five years as Senior Software Engineer at Tangoe, building enterprise telecom expense management solutions. Most recently, he served as Principal Engineer at GridMatter. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

At Hello Patient, Pete will be helping build the technical infrastructure that powers Mia's conversations with patients across thousands of medical practices. As a Staff Software Engineer, he'll be working on the systems that need to be reliable, scalable, and maintainable as we grow.
His experience scaling a platform from early days through acquisition is exactly what we need. Pete understands how to build systems that can handle 10x growth, how to maintain quality during rapid expansion, and how to lead technical decisions that set up long-term success.
